Possibly not the correct word to use here but I’m wondering how often your 16 yo goes out, and how much time they spend with their boyfriend/girlfriend outside of school/work/college? What rules you have in place? Any curfews?
My DD has a boyfriend of one year and they usually only get 1 or 2 days a week together while working around college and jobs. She asks to sleep at his house for weekends at a time. I let her sleep over for one night recently, which was on the sofa with his mothers confirmation, but despite being 16 it just feels too young to let her stay with another family for days on end. They are nice people, I have no concerns and her boyfriend is lovely.
Id appreciate hearing from anyone in this situation, I’m not experienced in the teen world so I really don’t want to make mistakes and have her hate me. Tia
