Too much time and no ideas!

As long as I can remember I have felt there is too much time and I have no ideas how to fill it. For example at weekends, trying to decide what to do each day is so difficult and I really don't know why. We have 2 easy going teenagers and a dog, so inevitably go for a walk, but that takes around 1-2 hours. What do we do for the rest of the day!? We usually end up at the shops as nobody can think of anything else to do.

It is October holiday week and it feels like there is just so much time to fill and nobody knows what they want to do, so we do nothing (or at least very little).

I hope I am making sense?! I feel like I don't know how to adult, to find fun things to do, to engage the kids with activities etc. I would love to know how others fill their weekends. I ask friends but they say they just chill out or the kids do their own thing.

Anyone else feel the same? Like they never read the rule book on how to adult and are floating through life a bit baffled by everything?

They often have homework that takes some time, then sports fill a fair bit for us. They often meet up with their friends to go bowling, to the cinema etc too

Sat here this morning thinking the same! Kids had a veg day yesterday as exhausted from the term, then today is horrible weather so not ideal for dragging them out. I’m on leave for a long weekend over next weekend and still haven’t even booked anything as can’t figure out what they’ll actually enjoy doing! They’re good kids, we get on well, but I also just feel a bit confused by what this stage looks like. Sorry not very helpful as no ideas but I feel your pain!
