My Ds is 16 relatively well behaved respectful for the most part. We let him do most things he’s ask to do within reason. He has one friend who a lot of his group are not keen on. He’s loud rude disrespectful to his parents and generally a pain. I don’t like him round our house as he disrespects the rules and vapes in my ds bedroom and won’t go to bed at night banging about keeping house up.
my DS wants to stay over his I usually say no.
the reason is when around him he turns into a different child rude argumentative and egged on by him . He also continually vapes in his room and DS asthmatic. His parents are also not great and out drinking a lot not a lot of supervision at home.
is he too old to say he can’t go ? And I’m unreasonable ? Feel bad and just don’t know what to do …….

I think at 16 you need to let him go. This is how teens learn to risk assess and get used to some independence.
