Haircuts for teenage girls - central/north London

Am I a dinosaur or is it madness to spend £65- £100 on haircuts for my two long-haired teenage daughters? I know that stylists deserve to be fairly paid, of course, but it just feels like too much given that they are not earning anything. Any recommendations for salons in north or central London that have a lower rate for teens would be much appreciated, thank you!

I can’t recommend, but when I was a student in Central London, I went to a training salon at Vidal Sasoon Academy where they had hairdressers doing refresher courses, but don’t think they are still there. Might be worth seeing if there are others.
Round here, Toni and Guy salons advertise for models quite frequently. The trainees doing hairdressing at the Institute are always looking for models as well. They are well supervised, but it can take longer than normal to get a cut.

We spend £60 on each teen, we got to Jair Santamaria

This is the link. My daughters love it and so do I. Great hair dressers; not like those chains that charge you for everything. Professional, calm, not a rush of experience.

What about Supercuts or the budget hair chains?

These are all great suggestions, thank you

Out of curiosity I had a look at the Sassoon academy and it still seems to be there. Not sure about the models but Toni and Guy and Trevor Sorbie both seem to advertise for models All seem to be under £20 for a cut and blow dry.

It's that price in some salons in Glasgow, so I'm astonished it's as cheap as that in London. To answer you. no, it's not ridiculously expensive by today's standards.
