Worried about DD

Hi all,
maybe it’s something that others experienced before…

let me explain… small community, sheltered upbringing, high performing secondary, remote area.
DD just finished year9, great school report, high grades, kind and considerate personality, a bit naive and want to be liked by everyone.
I work in her school.

she recently started to hang out w some undesirables, kids that are not horrid, but a little bit too “fresh”, vaping, drinking at the weekends, casual sex etc.

what do I do? Do I interfere?

How can you be so sure this person is making up a thread? How rude

Sadly we can't choose our kids friends, but they have a habit of falling in and out of friendship at this age. If you're sensible, and it sounds like you are, she may very well be more sensible than you think.

If you don’t interfere it ll escalate

Your comment about casual sex is odd, how can this be ok and not a reason to interfere (perhaps that’s why you got a comment like that

Thanks for all the replies. My daughter is not involved w any of those (drinking, etc) and she is indeed very sensible. I guess what I wanted to say is that she started to hang out w a group of people who known to do all the above…

Tricky as those things are probably natural among kids once they hit 14 /15?

Can you just keep open conversations with her?

Im a perfectly sensible middle aged lady now and I was drinking alcohol and snogging boys in hedges by about 14 im afraid
