Gamers SHOUTING is this a thing?

My kids have long since stopped gaming or in fact living at home, but our near neighbours son seems to shriek all day and I could only presume it's gaming. It's far away luckily that I don't hear exactly the words apart from occasional expletives that filter through, but it sounds like he's frustrated at some sort of online game.
Do I presume he's wearing headphones? Is it normal?!
not a major worry, but wonder if I've missed out a part of modern ljfe. Do they have to yell? 😀

They don’t have to shout, but it is a thing

If he even cared, he may not know how loud he is against the volume in his headphones vs the outside world

MoistVonL · 01/06/2025 08:18

Yes, very common and they rarely know how loud they are because of the headphones. I ask them to try keep it down or to shut their window.

MummoMa · 01/06/2025 23:03

I think it's more likely if they are gaming with other people in person or virtually.

Yes, currently listening to ds laughing and talking online with his friends but it gets a bit heated at times. Telling him to be quiet doesn't work, I have to make him get off if he needs to be quiet.
