DS is turning 14 in July.
He's into music but has guitars, amp etc
Has his games consoles

What have people got their kid when turning 14?

And what did yous do to celebrate?

New games for the playstation. To celebrate we went either to the cinema and a meal or a trampoline park and then a meal......i think 🤣

Can't remember what he got for his 14th some gaming things probably - I am jealous yours has another hobby/ interest.

But celebration - one day family day with board games and cake. Other day friends party High Ropes and picnic with hotdogs. When he was 13 did go karts.

But every other person's celebration he has been to has been go to cinema. Which especially now they are old enough to do alone - they all got themselves to Minecraft movie - seems not v special.

He is 15 in a month and has no ideas

Trainers and clothes - both my boys have had trainers for every birthday since they were about 13 I think!
He hasn't had a party since leaving primary school though so can't help with that one.

Fragrances, mine loves a nice smell. Zara does a lovely range.

Celebrate is always a family meal out (curry).
And the last year or two I've given him some money to treat a couple of friends to something - food out, cinema, swim, whatever. No party. He's 15 now.

My teen has recently turned 14 and she decided that she wanted to have a bake off with her friends, which was really fun, and then they all had a sleepover and watched their favourite films. I got the idea from here: https://weareluna.app/parents/guides/confidence-and-motivation/things-to-do-in-autumn-for-teenagers/

Mine did airsoft with his mates oh my goodness the bruises but they loved it and meal out with family at the weekend.

Yes, mine just had a paintballing birthday party. I took them for pizza afterwards and they looked as if they’d just come out from combat. Weirdly symmetrical bruises galore. Other 14th birthday parties this year have been escape room then pizza, padel and pizza, airsoft, cinema, footgolf. We gave DS a mini-fridge for his bedroom (don’t ask why — he wanted it) and a speaker.
