15 year drug

I have a 15 year old teenage boy who I think is doing drugs. His room has a weird smell something strong that i can smell walking in high street . I have asked him if he's doing anything wrong, to which he challenges me .
I am sure something is not right going on. How do I find out what he's doing in his room with the doors closed. I dont find any smoke in the room but there's a wierd strong pungent smell at times coming from his room.

Need help, please advise how to approach this and find out what he's been doing

Might he be vaping? What's his behaviour like? Does he look different?

Interested to find out what happened. I have the exact same thing with my 15yr old boy. Have seen red eyes.

@Sam11976 hey have you found what caused the smell. My 15yo room have a weird smell”chemical” smell.
i have founds lots of “legal” drugs in his bedroom things he orders from amazon, ebay + he seems to be decanting stuff with alcohol… of course he doesnt want to tell me.
he excels at chemistry.. this is the second tome i do a big clean and tbrow out two full bags of junk (nicotin pat h, tonacco, vapes, legal drugs, spices (nutmeg, clove) and so on….
