Positive TV shows

DS is 15 and we like to spend an hour or so watching something on TV together before he goes to bed. He's typically drawn towards more grown up shows and enjoys a darker theme. I'd like to find some shows to watch that have positive role models, or explore themes that will help balance out some of the negativity our kids are exposed to these days. Does anyone have any suggestions?

We've watched the Good Place, Brooklyn 99, Friday Night Dinner, Derry Girls, in case anyone would suggest any of those.

Thanks @PuppyMonkey but we don't have Apple TV. I should have said that, sorry! We have Disney, Netflix and Prime.

Modern Family?

The Big Bang Theory, any Star Trek (I personally love Enterprise), Malcom In The Middle, The IT Crowd, The Umbrella Academy, Stranger Things.

If you are in the UK - Dead Pixels, The Apprentice, Dragon’s Den.

Of course, any Marvel type program is good (according to my teenagers).

Schitts Creek for sure. The Office US. Neither are dark but so so good
