Would you let your quiet, shy and extremely sensitive 13 (just coming up to 14) year old daughter wear a T-Shirt that said "Little Miss Stoner" on it? Assuming that she doens't actually 'get' what it means or what it is implying and just thinks its "modern"?

probably not

WanderingTrolley · 05/05/2008 17:12

Your mum isn't helping your sister at all still, then?

And no, I wouldn't, under any circumstances.

TsarChasm · 05/05/2008 17:13

No wouldn't like that. Maybe if you explain the meaning she might think it's not for her.

But I haven't got teenagers yet. I guess you have to pick your battles with teenagers?

Dragonbutter · 05/05/2008 17:13

I would assume that a 13 year old does know what it means and does get it and thinks it's cool.
I would say it's time for chat about drugs.

SmugColditz · 05/05/2008 17:15

nope.

Explain the references to drugs and what people might assume about her, and let her make a choice about whether to wear it.

SmugColditz · 05/05/2008 17:16

I wouldn't have got it at 13 and I was no shrinking violet.

Dragonbutter · 05/05/2008 17:16

I'm not suggesting that the 13 year old is taking drugs, just that she thinks it's a bit cool to where a t-shirt with that on.

Dragonbutter · 05/05/2008 17:17

where/wear! [tired emoticon]

harleyd · 05/05/2008 17:19

you seriously think a 13yr old wouldnt get that?

MrsSnape · 05/05/2008 17:20

I honestly don't think she does know what it means, she's extremely naive and pretty much lives in a bubble.

I feel like giving up. Its so frustrating.

well my dd is 13 and has sn. and I let her wear most stuf. but I wouldn't let her wear that.

mumeeee · 05/05/2008 18:10

No. I wouldn#t let a 12 year old wear that. In fact I would not be happy if my 16 year old wore something like that.

hatjam · 07/05/2008 22:09

lots of kids at my son's year (9) wear badges with dope leaves on and stuff like that. i don't actually think any of them have started experimenting but, sadly, they reckon it makes them look cool!

d0glover · 08/05/2008 19:53

nope to dope

SlartyBartFast · 08/05/2008 19:55

i didn't get that

and no, i wouldnt let her either.

BroccoliSpears · 08/05/2008 20:05
