When does selfishness become narcissism and when is it just an immature trait?
I worry that my teen (16) is inherently selfish even though I've brought up my child to be considerate and respectful of others, unless prompted, he doesn't instinctively do this.
I just hope he can learn empathy, I certainly model it to him.
So can you learn empathy?
I could be over worrying but it's something I see in him much more than my other child, who seems to be more instinctively caring. Maybe I'm just comparing and noticing differences.
