Teenage boy hair styling products

DS wants to get some sea salt spray or similar to style his hair. He's got that 'short at the back, all piled over at the front' look so wants volume and waves.
Any of your boys use anything that you'd recommend?

Yep, 16yr old DS uses Slick Gorilla texturising powder on his mop. Can buy most places including Amazon.
