My daughter has her birthday and Christmas within 10 days and I'm after ideas for presents for her.

How old will she be…?

InformerYaNoSayDaddyMeSnowMeIGoBlameALickyBoom · 11/11/2024 23:01

What kind of things does she like?

My 16yo has got a collection of vintage Phantom of the opera things, some shoes, candles, make up, and a life size skeleton.

My 14yo has got a phone, and lots of mangas, and a bunch of Tim Burton stuff.

She will be 13. Older than 13 in some ways.

She plays a lot of hockey, enjoys being with our dogs and loves reading. She doesn't need anything hockey related and already has a library of her own.

She has been very lucky/spoilt recently for one reason or another and already has a good mobile, headphones, earphones, laptop and smart watch which kind of limits big presents. I'm struggling with something special to have her and also smaller present suggestions from friends or more distant relatives. She has good skin and therefore doesn't need a load of skin care and she doesn't wear much make up.

Some good ideas, thank you. Zip wire in particular might work well. I'm going to look at the floating shelves too.

I've steered her away from reading electronically previously, but now she is older and gets through books so quickly a kindle might be a really good idea, thank you.

If you get a Kobo rather than a Kindle she can download library books electronically for free.

AutumnLeaves1990 · 20/11/2024 12:52

Been struggling with what to get my almost 13 year old. She's not overly girly. She's recently got into Jellycat so have booked the fish and chips experience at Selfridges at the weekend.

Needmorelego · 20/11/2024 12:54

All my 16 year old wants is Jellycats, pin badges and croc charms.
