Teenagers not getting along

I have 2 teenagers aged 13 and 17 that haven't been getting along. I'm separated from their Dad. Last week, out of the blue my 17yo decided she wants to stay with her Dad to have time from the 13yo. It came as an shock. I offered for her to stay with me, but she wants to go to her Dad as she apparently sleeps better there. I'm beside myself, as she says it's not me that's the issue. I'm not coping so well, so any advice would be gratefully appreciated!

Hey @Baggy99 so sorry to hear this, I'm not surprised you're not coping well. When you say they're not getting along, what kind of thing do you mean? I don't think you should view this as a permanent move right now but I do think you need to sit down one to one with your 17 yo and talk about what's been happening with their sibling.

They just keep arguing. I think it's being a teenager, but my youngest is really hard work 😐 I'm getting him help at school, so I'm hoping we'll get to the bottom of it soon. I've always tried so hard to provide for them and love them, but it's horrible as everything is a mess. I'm hoping it's temporary too, as I can't get my head around it all!
