Perfectly normal 17 year old tbh.

Does he have ADHD? With you using the DA terminology?

Dopamine addiction is not a thing. Everyone has dopamine in the brain and it is essential to learning and doing stuff. If you don't have enough dopamine you have Parkinson's disease. So please drop the claims about dopamine.

You have a lazy unmotivated teenager who doesn't want to listen to his parents. And that is entirely normal for teenagers. You can try to find things that do motivate him or you give him space to mature and decide what he wants to do. Your post doesn't give enough info for anyone to advise on those.

Hi

Yes he has ADHD. What do you mean by normal 17 year old behaviour ? If that is the case other kids of same age would not be attending the school. They would not be applying for university and getting good grades. We as a parents snd society has just accepted that teenagers are like that.

Thanks. Yes he is demotivated and totally clueless in terms of what he wants do in his life. More we give him space more he us lost. Please let me know what information you need. Not only that he also protests and revolts against us. We are in UK. We moved from another country. We do not have any support, I feel like giving up everything and going back home. I feel so bad about myself because of this situation..
