Hi all just want some ideas of what other preteens get up to after school.
I am a single parents of 12 year old twin girls. One is into football, conversational, interested in lots of things and helps around the house. The other has dropped out of clubs and just not into anything at the moment. She hates school but is coping with a lot of support. My worry of after school she just wants to get into bed on her phone and if left would stay there for hours. Last night I had a meeting until 7 so couldn’t monitor this. Tonight I told her to stay down in lounge and not be on her phone.. but she just doesn’t know what else to do. We live in tiny isolated village and dark outside early. In summer they will go for walks. she enjoys cooking at wknd but school takes so much out of her she lacks interest in anything.
I’ve asked her to cook once a week (when I’m taxing other one to football), and I’m going to buy her a new sketch pad and some nice pens. Any other suggestions for stuff to do with her or on her own.

Board game? There's an advent calendar that each day gives you a puzzle to solve, that might be a fun activity to do together
