Hello
I have my 13 year old niece coming to stay for the first time by herself.
her mum says she eats anything, can anyone tell me what girls this age actually like for dinner/lunch/breakfast- I want her to be relaxed and settled and enjoy her stay.
thank you

Lasagna

Not all 13 year old girls are the same. I would take her shopping when she arrives so she can choose some things like cereals etc and you can get some things for you to cook together.

Is there no possibility of asking her mum?

Ask her mum what her favourites are.

cereals, toast, bagels, pancakes, waffles
lasagne and pizza are generally a pretty safe bet. DSD likes noodles or "fakeaway" type chinese food and curry so long as it's not too hot. She really will eat anything though.....risotto, seafood, roast dinner, sausages,

Ask her mum what her favourites are.

She just says “anything”. I know she is trying not to put me to any bother but I’d rather she felt special, comfortable and enjoyed herself.

Ask the 13 year old, not her mother!

Pasta with pesto is normally a safe option and margarita pizza , waffles or pancakes for breakfast goes down well here .. my kids love halloumi baked with honey as a burger
