I see the thread by the mum who felt she disliked her teenage daughter has been deleted, but it reminded me of this book, which I posted on the thread and thought I would repost again here.

The author is a psychologist specialising in working with teenage girls, and I found it incredibly reassuring and helpful when I was (and still am at times) struggling with my daughter's behaviour. It's American, but they really don't seem that different to the British ones!

Anyway, just thought I would recommend for anyone who isn't aware of the book and might find it helpful.

I second this. She also has a podcast and a more recent book: The Emotional Lives of Teenagers which isn't just about girls. I think she is definitely a force for good and would recommend.
