How to get DDs money?!

DD 15 just finished her first seasonal job in a local restaurant and now employers are ignoring her messages to sort out her wages owed. I’ve also messaged the owners myself and tried to call but I’m also getting ignored. What can I do to sort this out nicely before I lose my temper with them?

Has she been paid at all during the summer?

Write them an email or a letter (make sure you date it). Remind them that they are legally obliged to pay wages in a timely manner.

A dated email or letter is definitely the way to go. If your calls are being ignored, how about you deliver a letter by hand?

Go in when the restaurant is open and loudly and repeated ask politely. Go back every day.

She’s been payed small amounts but is still owed over £400.. I’ve started filling in the forms for acas which is my next step. I have managed to track them down on social media and messaged on there which is also being ignored. I will try a letter but do think I will be wasting my time there.. Very much appreciate the advice. Thankyou.

This is what I’ve been trying not to do as I think I’ll lose my temper with them. I do want to sort this out as calmly as possible but they are making it very difficult..

Yep
Acas
We're in the middle of this too.
We have even produce bank statements as ex employees has said they'd paid dc.
The Acas staff are brilliant

Or trading standards!

State she was working and not shadowing.

They also need to include 8.33% holiday pay.

I would turn up and be firm but polite.
Offer to discuss it in private or in the middle of the restaurant
