I need your help! DD is 14, 5 foot 8 inches, small (size 10) waist and proper curvy hips.

Where can I get her some school trousers that don't gape at the waist, strain at the hips or finish half way down her calf?

We've just returned from a fruitless trip to M & S, Next, John Lewis, Zara and H & M.

Bonus points if you can tell me how she can tighten up the waist of a pair of trousers without a belt.

Next online!! We have similar issues but they do adjustable waists and extra long options. They are frequently out of stock atm but come back in quickly.

We don’t have quite the same issues but had surprising success in sainsburys and asda

ASOS is worth a look, they have curve and tall ranges and everything in between.

I'm a teacher and see this problem all the time . Whatever their shape girls seem to struggle to get trousers that fit. It seems that the shops are not providing trousers thst cater for them. Also the shops provide items masquerading as suitable school uniform, but it rarely is. How about jeggings?

They never have them in store only online, but try the M&S extra longer length trousers - you can try the different leg widths and size up for hips but use the adjustable elastic to pull the waist in www.marksandspencer.com/school-2pk-girls-slim-leg-longer-length-trousers-2-18-yrs-/p/clp60584408?color=BLACK#intid=pid_pg1pip44g4r9c3|prodflag_submsg-From%20%C2%A35.50%20per%20item

Next online, normal tailored trousers they used to be £20, I think they're £30 each this year you can wear a belt with them if necessary. DD wears tall grey ones, she has a small waist but chunky rugby player thighs.

If she can wear black I'd look at woman's tall trousers and they are likely to have more give in the hip.

It'll be harder if you need grey school trousers specifically but the school uniform shops (skool kit, school trends etc) May have some if you look online that come in different leg lengths.
