TW mentions anxiety
Hi in need of advice. My 14 year old daughter just seems to think she can do as she pleases she goes out with freinds blocks me so I can't get intouch but then the days were I think I'm not going to worry and call her ( when she not blocked me ) she goes on to say why have you not rang me am I not your priority. She just doesn't come home when she feels and im up worrying all night long. When she gets back she gets grounded meaning me and her 7 year old sister are also grounded but then when ever she can she's find an opportunity to just climb out of a window and I just don't no what to do. I have so much anxiety. People saying just let her do what she wants and stop worrying but that's not possible. Ontop of this she has zero respect she screams the house down if she hears the word no. She is overly nice when she's wanting ti ask for something soon as she gets she is back to her old ways! We cannot communicate because if I say no she becomes nasty and hurls verbal abuse. Same within school if she doesn't like it she will just get uo and walk out of school. She lies so easily. she seems to think boundaries don't apply to her.

No easy answer but the book "How to talk so teens will listen and listen so teens will talk" is good.

Have you spoken to school? And have you considered doing a patenting course? Even if you've heard the suggestions before it might help to have space to talk. If you look on your local authority's website most have a parents page with signposts to support. Parenting teens can be really hard. Knowing something about their brain development can also help and there are lots of books about that.
