Hi , apologies but I didn’t know where to post this
My dd had an app named Authy where she stored lots of memories on her apple lap top
Last night she accidently deleted it , and she’s in bits . I’m hoping that someone can advise as I didn’t even know what Authy is
I asked if she had checked her Apple Store and while it is there apparently she said it’s not compatible to her lap top
I don’t understand how she uploaded it in the first place .
I feel so sorry for her as it holds years of memories she did message Authy but they’re not helpful
Any advice anyone please?

It's a 2fa account. So I'm not sure what she was storing except passwords.

Anywhoo it states on the website desktop is no longer supported and to download the mobile app so that is probably your best bet.

Thankyou for your reply do you think that if she downloads the mobile site she’ll be able to retrieve it !
Im not technically minded but am trying my best to help

Looks to be the case - seems they are just app focused instead of maintaining a desktop tool now. The FAQ should help

That's an authenticator app, are you sure she means Authy? You can't store anything on there except passwords

Duchess87 · 01/08/2024 08:16

Yes definately Authy so that’s what’s happened all passwords are on there and she’s lost them all and doesn’t know how to retrieve them

If it's only passwords that she's lost then she should be able to do password resets on any accounts she can't access?

They'll want the 2FA code.
