Not sure where to start really but my teenage stepson has just left school, and will be starting a carpentry apprenticeship in September. He spends a lot of time on his Xbox, every so often talking with friends but since school has finished he’s not online with friends. We have him stay with us a few nights every other weekend and he’s great to be around but can’t help but wonder if he should be being more social? His mum who he stays with majority of the time also worries he has no friends. Is this normal in this day and age? I see he’s on Snapchat etc chatting to people but never meets up with anyone anymore (hasn’t done really for a while). Please set my mind at rest, is this the norm now? I’m hoping college brings about new relationships etc but at this rate I don’t know. His dad isn’t overly sociable but he was at that age. Has gaming done this?? 😭
