Hi all,

I'll admit I did a bit of rooting, and found my son (underage, 16!) bank statement, seems there's been £7/£10 coming out here and there to betting apps.

Only problem is, he seems to be withdrawing more then he's putting into them, so i can't really tell him about him wasting money because it seems that he's made something back.

I don't even know how he could even get onto one of those bloody apps! Any advice is welcome on how to take this as I'm out of depth.

Eek! I’d contact Gamcare or look at their website - they have a young people’s service and could give you info on how to broach the subject with him in a sensitive way? Sounds bombastic I know, but these sites are so very cleverly designed to be addictive and young brains are more susceptible (alongside teenagers KNOWING they’re invincible… 😏)

Thanks, I'm gonna take a look.

It doesn't help his uncle (my brother) is a massive horse racing tipster online, he clearly thinks it runs in the bloody family!
