My DD is 15 years old and has some standing tickets for Olivia Rodrigo tonight at the O2. She's going with some of her friends and is so excited. Does anyone know if they ID the kids going into the standing area, we've just had an email saying its for 16 years plus.

I can't answer your ID question but my DD saw her last night and said she was fab.

I am taking my 15 yr old ( she will be 16 10 days after the show) we have standing tickets but I am now panicking they won’t let her in.. lots saying they are id’ing all standing…

Hi - just wondering if your DD got in to the gig ok? My DD (14, almost 15) is going tomo with friends - they have seated tickets but I didn't know if she would get asked for ID as you have to be 15 to have seated tickets without an adult with them 😬

Me and dd went Wednesday night in the VIP pit. They were asking kids their ages and proof.

You also have to show ID as the adult who booked the tickets.

Did they manage to get in/ get to see her?

@indianwoman was that for standing tickets? Were they asking for ID for seated tickets? Like @Withell81 my DD is 14 almost 15 going tomorrow. Seated tickets. I'm worrying about it

Withell81 · 17/05/2024 21:57

@Thisismynewname123 I don't think I can deal with the crushing disappointment if they don't get in after all the build up! There's 4 of them going - 2 are 15 and 2 are still 14, soon to be 15. I'm hoping the lack of other parents complaining about their kids not getting in for the seated tickets means they might be ok?? 🤞🏻🤞🏻

Thisismynewname123 · 17/05/2024 22:01

@Withell81 me too. I don't know what I would do. DD is going with her sister who is 17. I'm thinking that what kind of ID would teens usually be carrying anyway? Surely most would be sent away because they won't have ID with them, whatever their age

Don't know about seated tickets but a friend was turned away from seating with her 16year old who had no ID and there's lots of anecdotal evidence on this forum and others of people not allowed in and having to try and swap tickets last minute - when I booked the tickets I thought I could chance my 15 year old not being asked for ID but I've now sold my standing tickets and bought VIP tickets (obviously way more expensive but nothing else available this close to the concert) - we've been to a few other concerts under age limit (some with far more adult target crowds) and never been asked but this didn't seem worth the risk.

LivFan · 17/05/2024 22:42

Forgot to put in last post - I looked up about ID and in the small print on the O2 site it says about the approved forms of ID they accept so I didn't think it was worth trying to chance it on the day

indianwoman · 18/05/2024 11:35

I don't know about seated tickets as we were queueing for the vip pit. If you ask on the help function of the o2 website they'll tell you.
