Entertained: 14yo DS is currently lying on the floor of the landing, wrapped in his duvet, waiting for the smell of his own fart to dissipate from his room.

Exasperated: After finding yet another protractor smashed to bits at the bottom of his school bag, I've given up and ordered a box of 50 from Amazon.

That's made me laugh out loud 🤣

He hasn’t. He’s just made me cry :(

Do not remind me of the protractor horrors!! At one point it seemed like I was buying one every other week for DD🤦‍♀️

Entertained - 2 teens made donuts! And insisted on eating them en famille on a blanket in the back garden.

Exasperated - left an unholy mess in the kitchen that will be tidied up "...in a minute"

From yesterday:

Entertained: well the kitchen was tidied without me asking so maybe not entertaining but that was a nice thing for me.

Exasperated: Youngest (16) broke one of my favourite mugs which a friend gave me recently. It was in eldest (20)'s bedroom which it shouldn't have been as there are plenty of other mugs to use. And then Eldest dared to tell me it was "just an accident" when I said they shouldn't have been using my mug in the first place.

Entertained: sounded off at length about being made to dance with a partner who was dressed in games kit and had just come from a sport (smelly partner)...
'What song track was that in?'
(imagine grumpy tone): 'Treat People with Kindness.'

Both simultaneously yesterday
" Mum you are driving me and Friend to X today and picking us up"

Quick reminder needed that she needs to ask, not just expect...
(Friend is lovely, but I had been planning a supermarket trip in around DDs lifts... and I didn't really want to take an extra teenager there!)

looked up and saw a set square on the glass roof that apparently ds14 had flung out of his bedroom window in exasperation at his maths homework- not sure how to feel!

These are all brilliant.

Yesterday I came home to find DS fast asleep on the sofa, looking utterly angelic but surrounded by orange peel 🙄
