Hi, I never used one of these sites before but I’m desperate for some advice and support. I have a 12 year old (13 this year) and a 7 year old. Both girls.
for about 5 years my 12 year old has been suffering bad with her mental health. She has been through some very traumatic events though her life and I have struggled through also being a single parent. We have had several referrals to cahms and social care, we are currently working with the family service as she will not go to school and is becoming very abusive mentally and physically to me and her sister. I just don’t know what to do anymore, cahms won’t treat her until she is mentally stable , which seems backwards to me. And I just can not cope with the constant outbursts, they are ruining home life. Healthcare proffesionals are saying she needs medication and counciling and just keep referring back to cahms which feels like a merry go round. Has anyone got any kind of advice or experience in this kind of situation please? I just want to run away 😭

Complain about CAHMS. Email the head of them. And PALS. Honestly they are just a joke. They wouldn’t see my daughter as she wouldn’t speak to them. She’s selective mute🤷🏼‍♀️one of the reasons she was referred. Another much better counsellor made the breakthrough.

Your Dd could be ND. The outbursts are probably meltdowns as she can’t cope.
