DLA question

I've been advised to claim dla for my son on mental health grounds. Anxiety and depression

Since I submitted his paperwork at Christmas time we've had updates from CAMHS, should I be sending these in as part of the application does anyone know.

Is dla something you need to apply for and 'prove' each period of time (yearly) or you contact them to say things are better we don't qualify for this anymore.

Sorry I know this was a little while ago but you look like you were once where I am now. I’m at the start of the process now, my eldest daughter has been refusing school due to anxiety now for almost a year, she flat out hasn’t been since October but the issues have been ongoing for some time prior to that. I’m now thinking my only choice is going to be to home school her and I’ll have to try and claim dla and perhaps carers allowance. We have been to the gp once, have another appt in just over a week: the school she’s registered at and social services want her medically signed off of anxiety grounds. My result question is how straight forward did you find the process? She’s been referred for councelling/talking therapy but yet to begin this. I know she doesn’t technically need a diagnosis but Im assuming it helps?!
