Irregular long cycles

My daughter started her periods just before turning 12 and her cycles were roughly monthly until last June. Since then she's had one every two months with an average 45 day cycle. The only other symptom she's had is fatigue. I'll make a GP appointment but anyone's daughter had a similar change in their cycle?

My DD very similar. She’s nearly 18 now but still very long irregular periods - sometimes 2-3 months between. Gynaecologist thought might be PCOS, but no other symptoms .. first scan when she was 16 showed some evidence of polycystic on her ovaries, but subsequent ones all totally clear. Nor does she have acne, excessive hair and is a healthy weight. She’s on the pill now just to regulate, but obviously that’s not a cure. Gynaecologist has just basically shrugged her shoulders and said effectively ‘I dunno then’ 🤷
might be worth seeing if there is any evidence of PCOS although they’re reluctant to diagnose that before they’re 18

Thank you for your reply and I am not expecting much concern from the GP as, like your daughter, mine is a healthy weight and doesn't suffer excess hair growth or acne. She does seem to have a longer PMT leading up to her period which is annoying for her. I hope the GP will at least test to rule out any problems.
