Teenagers

THC vapes

Hello. My DS is 18, over the last few weeks leading up to Christmas I've noticed a change in him which came to a head when he presented slurring blurred eyes and dopey. I believe he is vaping THC/cannabis oil. I'm quite a liberal soul and appreciate and understand (some of) teenagers behaviours and need to experiment. My worry is he is doing it quite a bit I suspect at home alone. I get when someone rolls Joint they may have a few puffs and it's done but this oil is a strong chemical. I've reached out to him in an attempt to talk and wrote him a letter with my worries but he doesn't want to talk about it. He's just secured a new full time job and has a lovely gf but

I found this with my D's on Christmas day. He had previously been smoking weed. The week leading up to Christmas his eyes seemed glazed, he seem spaced out and basically slept all the time. I found out by actually puffing on his vapes as I knew something wasn't right and had heard about THC. I can tell you know I didn't find it a nice high whatsoever. I went mad (prob because it was Christmas day and he was stoned) and tipped it out. He went mad. It was awful. Does he normally smoke weed or anything? My worry is also spice which apparently drug dealers are spiking THC with.

Weed is a major problem among teenagers. Many of them use this substance without understanding its consequences.

I've been here and while I'd rather he did neither. I feel a joint has a start and end, you smoke it and its done. The THC vapes can be used constantly and it definitely had a worse effect. You can walk around puffing on a vape and no one knows whats in it whereas generally they have to be a bit more sneaky with a joint plus obviously it has a very distinctive smell. He definitely got very addicted to the THC vape, I'm not sure if its stronger but it seemed like it was. I would discourage if at all possible.

Teenagers and weed are a big concern. When I was a teenager, I also used to smoke weed. At first, I was smoking once a week with my friends for fun. But then I started to smoke it every night. It became a slight addiction of mine. Now I'm 32, and I still feel the need for THC. Luckily, I don't smoke weed anymore. I found an alternative. I buy kratom and take it whenever I feel the need. So, suppose you are worried about the teenagers around you. In that case, you should talk to them and let them understand that weed is not good for their body and mind, especially if you overuse it.
