Cerave blemish control

I use Cerave products and have slowly introduced my 11 year old. I have very dry skin and very rarely suffer with spots etc (never have - even as a teen). DD takes after Dad and is definitely beginning to get spots now. Have looked at the blemish control option for cleanser and moisturiser. Is it suitable for her or is it more aimed at acne? She is having one or two spots crop up on her nose and forehead but obviously still has very soft 'baby' skin. Wondering if this will be too harsh and she's better sticking with hydrating cleanser I use.

I’d worry that it’s too harsh. DD found Cerave very drying and it broke her out

My DS skin was horrendous using Cerave, and I only realised how awful a product it was when we were on holiday and I’d forgotten my own cleanser so was sharing his.

It’s horribly stripping/drying stuff.

I switched him to Aveeno Calm & Restore face products and the difference and improvement in his skin has been incredible.
