Is this misogyny ?

DS is in year 13 and told me that on the bus he overheard a lad in his year brag to his friends about "getting off with" a girl (in their year group) at a party. What DS felt bad about was this lad made rude comments about the girl's appearance calling her "clapped" and "butters"

What really made DS feel "this isn't okay" was that the group all laughed and had and then agreed that "we all should try and get with her now". DS felt this was objectifying.

Just going off to Google Clapped and Butters before I comment!

Yes objectifying, yes misogynistic.

Very disrespectful to discuss like that openly in a group, doesn't matter how common it is.

No idea what "clapped" or "butters" mean (and not asking!).

Misogyny means contempt for women so yep, obviously.
