Maybe because is says ‘baguettes’ and not bread 😂
honestly if I say to put bowl in dishwasher after breakfast, they’ll put the bowl in and leave the spoon on the side because I did not specify to put the spoon in the dishwasher too 🙃

teen looking at freezer
Where is it?
Eye rolls and goes back to x box.

watcherintherye · 30/08/2023 09:50

They've probably skim read ‘herb’ because it’s shorter, and not noticed ‘garlic’!

GolgafrinchamB · 30/08/2023 09:52

There’s no big box of Yorkshire Tea in the cupboard in our house either, OP.

Except for the enormous one on the shelf at the front exactly where I said it was.

Jagley · 30/08/2023 09:56

No cheese in ours and was checked twice. There's about 4 types of cheese in there 🤦‍♀️

MummyInTheNecropolis · 30/08/2023 09:57

Well we don’t have any food in our house at all, nothing to eat whatsoever. Which is weird because the Tesco delivery arrived 2 days ago and the fridge and cupboards all look pretty full to me 🤷‍♀️.

lomondlady · 30/08/2023 10:02

Mine are like this. "Mum, there's no..." "Mum, I can't find..." It takes me 2 seconds to locate whatever the item may be. "I couldn't see it" "I looked there!" 🫣🤣

Can someone please send my husband home please?!?

(Its shoes in my house. I'm apparently the only one who can find DDs shoes... but since they are 10&12, I appreciate their foraging skills may decline yet)

Tilllly · 30/08/2023 10:22

I have opened the top drawer of the freezer and shown them the very very obvious garlic bread. I’ve got the response, “it wasn’t there last night”

That bloody magic portal playing tricks again

Well how's anyone supposed to see it at the front?

You seriously need to stop playing tricks on your poor teens. If it definitely wasn't there last night, why are you playing tricks on them by putting some there today? Grin

Oh how I can relate to this. 😂

SprogTakesAQuarry · 30/08/2023 18:08

My family are genuinely apologetic about this. You can hear the embarrassment in their voices, knowing that I’m going to find it instantly when they couldn’t spot it after ages looking.

HippyChickMama · 30/08/2023 18:17

In our house it goes:
'Have you seen my trainers?'
'Are they in the shoe cupboard?'
'Oh, yes, there they are'

And

'I can't find my book/phone/water bottle'
I go and locate the missing object
'It wasn't there when I looked'

Between the dc being unable to see things right in front of their eyes and dh constantly misplacing his wallet and keys it drives me insane!
