DD 14 lump in armpit

DD has a lump in her armpit which is not at all painful. this is about the size of a marble.
I was just wanting to know if any one has had similar experiences with there children and could you please tell me what it was. What should my next step be? Can tell you google isn't very reassuring!

Er, you need to ring the GP first thing OP!

I am sore it is a benign cyst or a swollen node, so don’t panic, but it needs to be checked promptly.

No experience to share but go to the GP ASAP

Is it under the skin and moves, or does it feel like the lump is deep and attached to her core?
I often get swollen lymph nodes/sweat glands/ingrowing hairs but my friend who had cancerous lumps made us feel the difference and it's very different

Nearly always lumps are benign.

Probably a infected node but go to the gp anyway. I had one as a teen and mum took me

Is it deodorant causing the lump?

@FloofCloud it doesn't seem to move at all however i think it is under the skin

I had a few of these as a child and they were painful, the one my DD has is painless. Would this make a difference or does it differ person to person?

I have a lump in my neck about the size of a strawberry which absolutely terrified me when it appeared about 6 years ago.

Completely painless, and turned out to be a cyst - had it checked twice over the years.

Make a GP appointment and DON’T google, you’ll worry yourself sick xx
