combined pill - irritability

DD(15) is on her first month of taking a combined pill (we are not in the UK, so the brand names are different, but it contains 0.02 mg ethinylestradiol and 0.1 mg levonorgestrel). This is her first month taking it and she's had no nausea or other purely physical side effects. However, she's been irritable. Her BF and two good friends have noticed it, so it's not purely subjective.

My question is, if you have experience with something like this, what are the chances it will subside? Is it likely to be a permanent side effect?
I was on a combined pill many moons ago and did not experience this.

I told her that, if it doesn't get better, she should ask the doctor for an alternative when she sees her in a month or so.

I’ve been on it for years and it doesn’t affect me like this, or dd1, though she is generally of a more grumpy disposition (like her father) so may not really notice.

dd2 started taking it and I noticed a big difference, went from laid back to irritable and quite emotional. So noticed herself and it bothered her so she has now gone on the implant instead which seems to be much better for her.
