ds has 2 bits of english course work to do.
H e assured me it would be finished by the end of half term.
He needs at least a c in english to get into college,
he hasn't finished.
he has arranged to go out with a mate this afternoone. they are going to do some photos for the colllege interview, now I have said if you don't finish the course work you don't go.
feel mean as he hasn't been out with a mate for ages and he does need to do the photos.
what to do?

How long have you given him to finish the work?

It's his own fault though and if the coursework is more important then its more important and must be done first.

What about dangling a carrot and say when he has finished the coursework he can have his mates round for a pizza and dvd?
