Have your DSs ever been bullied by girls?

I have a DS who will be stepping into Year 13 in September. He was talking to me that he feels a bit down with his lack of romantic success , but I told him that he's a lovely fella and the right girl is out there.

He opened up to me that the reason he lacks confidence is that a couple of years ago some girls (and their male friends) added DS to their groupchat, pretended to be his friend but then ridiculed him in the chat. They then quickly removed DS and mocked him behind his back.

DS told me that being mocked and made fun of by girls his own age really hurt his confidence and made him "feel like a loser".

I told DS these girls are b*tches and that there are lovely kind girls in the world. He was like "yes mum I know. I have some really nice female friends at school."

That's awful for him especially as he hasn't forgotten about it so it's clearly a big issue for him and impacting his MH

I'd actually get him to talk to a private Counsellor for a couple of sessions if it was my DS

Hopefully these B@@@s aren't going to be around at the same school during Yr13

If they are could / does he want to study elsewhere?

Also if he does have really good friends who are girls then tell him to talk to them about this.

They'll be really supportive and will help him get his confidence back

One of the girls is at the school. DS has had brief conversations with her. Never has it been brought up or mentioned what "all those years ago". She's one of the "popular" girls.

The boys are still all in that school and did tease DS about it a lot at school. (The teasing was before 6th form).

I don’t understand why (and their male friends) is in brackets, did they not get involved?

DS had more of his confidence hurt due to the teasing from the girls.
