Reading festival - ticket transfer

DH bought my son a weekend pass to Reading from Ticketmaster. DS can no longer go and wants to sell (at slightly reduced price) to a friend. But this seems very difficult. The ticket should be transferable but transfer is not available yet, and it seems to imply we only get the e-ticket 3 days before which is when we could transfer.

Has anyone got any advice? It was 240 + 20 insurance so keen to try and recoup something!

Thanks in advance.

I bought tickets last year for my daughter and friend. I think they had to download the app and then I went into my Ticketmaster account and was able to transfer it over them. I think I needed a mobile number and name. They then accepted and all was transferred easily. I am sorry that I cannot remember exactly the steps involved but I'm not exactly techno savvy but found it quite straight forward. I will be doing the same with the Harry styles tickets!
Hope that helps a little! Enjoy

Thanks! I have read very similar but the ticket says not yet! The transfer button is greyed out. I think we have a solution…. Very good friends’ son is taking it,but wish it was simpler.

I don't think we were able to transfer until a couple of weeks before the festival. Not to panic yet 😁
