Feeling deflated

Hello, I have a 16 year old daughter who has acted like she hates me since she was 14 years old. We are going for a weekend away on Friday for her birthday (she turned 16 on Monday), but she isn’t enjoyable to be around anymore.

She never appreciates anything, no matter how much I do for her, and only seems to be happy when she’s with her friends (who I think have a negative affect on her behaviour). She’s really horrible to her younger siblings. I’m feeling really bad because sometimes I really don’t want to be around her. I don’t want to spend so much money on a weekend away when she won’t appreciate or enjoy it. Would it be horrible if I cancel the weekend away last minute? I’ll only lose the cost of the train tickets

Yes it would be horrible. Why not use the time away to try and repair your relationship?

We’ve been for many weekends away, doesn’t seem to improve anything. I understand teen years are tough, but sometimes I wish I could just run away
