Need inspiration for DS birthday present

My DS is turning 16 next week and I'm at a loss for what I should get him. He's a very different person to me and I love that he has his own preferences. However that makes it very difficult to buy gifts for him as I don't really understand his fashion sense or his music taste or anything really. I considered a My Chemical Romance vinyl as he seems to like them but apparently I wouldn't know the right one to get? I love that he's a bit of an 'emo' and that he doesn't follow the crowd but I'm starting to panic that I won't be able to find anything! Please help!!

How about concert tickets? Find out what bands he likes. Or alternatively band merch (I'm assuming he's big on music?)
The vinyl sounds like a good idea! If you have his spotify go through and have a look which album he likes best, or just ask him!

Unfortunately money is a bit tight at the moment so concert tickets may not be possible. Bamd merch sounds like a great idea though!

My emo teen liked second hand band t shirts which I got off eBay - apparently cooler to have "vintage" than new stuff (but also cheaper and I didn't have to cringe when she "ustomised it a day after she received it)!
