Hi all - has anyone found an app that actually works to control screen time for android phone. I've tried Family Link and a few others but my son finds ways to disconnect them all. Just about to replace his phone so it seems like a golden opportunity to try again. Thanks

I quite like quostodio . Kids are younger though so may not be so good for teenagers

Thanks so much. That's one of the ones he got around unfortunately! I feel like I need to be more tech savvy!

Do you pay for his phone? Assuming yes, how about making a straightforward rule that if he tampers with family link or whatever, he loses it and gets a non smart brick phone for basic communication only. This isn't just about phone use it's sticking up two fingers to your position as his parent. If you had a rule about something non tech related and he continually broke it, what would you do? My ds is v v hard work with regard to tech and phone use. He's not savvy and can't get round any restrictions but will hide devices in his room etc and lie about them being out of charge or whatever. It gets treated like any other discipline issue.
