Which driving test cancellations app and are they legal?

Hello,
My DS has booked his driving test, which is more than 60 miles from us as there were no tests on any date available anywhere nearby. The earliest date available was 4 months from now (he's done theory).

I need to get this changed to sooner and nearer and someone told ds that there was an app that does this. Has anyone used one of these apps and are they actually legal - driving test cancellations 4 all says it will book the cancellation for you, an unlimited number of times (but the govt website says you can only do it 6 times). Testi has mixed reviews - some loved it, some say the notifications were too slow.

Any advice appreciated!

I used Testi (free, didn't pay for premium) and it was very good.

Testi was the app of choice amongst DS’s mates.

We are trying genie and have had no notifications at all. Going to try testi now. What a pain this all is!

Good Luck trying to get a driving test seems everyones in same boat.
I've been trying to get cancelation test for what seems like a eternity no luck !
I've got the apps as well but there not that good my latest test is in Scotland had to take it to get on the system to try and get a cancellation in my area which at the mo seems an impossible task as soon as one comes up it goes in seconds / straight away
I really think they need to do something with the backlog that's the hangover from Co vid.
I'm surprise that there has not been more said about it in the news as the whole system needs to be looked at they seem to be happy to take everyone money it's government run and it really needs to be a private firm running this.

Don't use 'driving test cancellations 4 all' as it was utterly rubbish for me. Not one cancellation offered to me in nearly 5 months.

Thanks all - looks like Testi is the way to go!

Ds's driving instructor actually paid for the premium Testi app for Ds. I think it holds the driving instructor's details so it knows not to offer any test date which would clash for the instructor.

Ds's original test was Jan this year, we think he booked it in August and he managed to get one for September. Passed first time.
