Not enough (any) support for parents

Does anyone else feel that there just isn’t enough, or any, support for parents? I have an ASC teen and no family support other than DH so maybe I’m feeling it more than average but I just feel pretty much that society abandons parents to get on with it as best they can. If you’re lucky you might be able to find some community support but it’s not really there where I live. School and activities done when small didn’t prove a good fit or provide this support network and so I’m still finding it really hard and quite lonely being a parent.

Have you looked for any asc groups in your area? I think maybe the support you need is fairly specific, as generally parents of NT teens (although it can be tough for anyone) don't need the same level of support.

Thanks. There’s stuff online but nothing I can find that meets locally in person and tbh there’s very little on offer for the kids locally either.
