Uni party for sixth former

DS (lower sixth form) wants to go to a friend’s party. Friend is apparently a second year uni student, DS isn’t sure how he knows him (this is typical for DS: he talks to anyone- friends of friends of friends, people in the gym etc).
DS is not especially streetwise, but does tell me everything (to the point I wonder if he understands it may not be normal to be quite so open to your parents… I definitely don’t discourage it though!)
Hes been to maybe 4 or 5 parties in the past, and has drunk alcohol (not to excess- I’d know, he stays in contact throughout!) and also stayed a week with a friend whose parents are away.
A uni party seems a big step up, and I’ve said no, mostly based on gut instinct and my own teens/ early 20s, coupled with his own naivety (he disagrees with me on the latter point, as is to be expected).
What would others do/ say?

It would be a hard no from me. Parties and alcohol with other sixth formers maybe, but not with older adults, especially given his naivety.
