Hi, my dd 14 has over the last few months been as the title reads, constantly tired, irritable and gloomy. Nothing we have done has worked, we have tried multivitamins, her excercising more and getting her to eat better. Nothing seems to be going wrong at school. Any ideas on what it is or what to do?

My first thought would be normal puberty tbh! I think sometimes we forget exactly how huge an undertaking that is, the sheer amount of growing and hormones is insane. If you are really concerned then probably a blood test to rule out anything like Vit deficiencies and anemia and a gp visit just to get it checked in case.

Are they allowed their phone overnight?

Are they allowed their phone overnight?

This.

I would take all electronics out of her room overnight if she is currently allowed them.

Does she have hobbies? What is her diet like? Do you monitor her social media?

Is she eating enough? Have you taken her to the Dr to have a general check up, she maybe anaemic for example.

Have you checked her phone?

Could she be being bullied?

That said she may well just be a normal teenager- sorry!
