DD12 strange behaviour

hi,
My DD has started behaving really strangely this week, I really don’t know what is up. She won’t talk to me which I find weird. She won’t eat. She looks exhausted either really red or pale. It’s kind of scaring me so where do I start.

She has had some bullying this term. It started with one girl calling her “stick insect” and “Skinny legs” then is went to that girl telling my DDs friends to stop hanging out with her. She raised it with her Head of year so she had a chat and it seems like she lost interest.

DD has plenty of friends outside of scchool, she’s at a dance school and recently she won 2nd place at a competition. She is very skinny but never really been bullied before about that so i think she was just confused.

I really want to change this - I don’t want her like this for Xmas but I don’t know what I should do. Talk to gp? please advise thx

Get her some counselling.

You need to talk to the school and take her to the GP

How worrying. Is there a chance the bullying is still happening either at school or online and she’s hiding it.

How is she now @sleepmouse38? Is she looking any better?

@PritiPatelsMaker
As her school finishes for the Xmas holidays tomorrow she's hyped up so much! Opening presents, going shopping for presents, House dance event to mark the last day of term. I'm so relieved she's herself again 😌

Have talked to the school -yes there was some bullying which someone reported. The school took action, hopefully it has passed!

Thanks all

Adolescent girls can be absolutely vile - I really hope this bullying has been nipped in the bud.
Please keep an eye on her internet use - sadly bullying is no longer kept just in school now. Holidays used to be a reprieve from unpleasant children but now it's not.

thanks, Merry Xmas all!!
