Razor/shaving gel recommendations for first shave

Hi. My DS15 wants to start shaving. I have read that electric shavers are not good for teenage skin. Can anyone recommend a good first razor for teen skin? Thanks.

My ds does use an electric one and AFAIK hasn't had a wet shave. He seems happy enough with the results.

Think its a Phillips one he has
