DS (15) has had a few episodes of anxiety over the last few years, not particularly linked to anything specific and generally he's happy and quite confident. He's got year 10 winter exams coming up and although he's reasonably prepared from a revision perspective he's worried about having a panic attack in the exam hall. We've practised box breathing and discussed grounding techniques and I've contacted his form tutor who has said they will seat him near the door in case he needs to leave the hall. It's clearly playing in his mind and I worry there's an element of self fulfilling prophecy regarding the panic attack.
Any tips for managing this fear of exam panic please?
