our dd was 16 last week - we had a family party, loads of toddlers etc. i did old fashioned party food, with a little twist, ie. vodka jelly in paper dishes (differant coloured ones for small dcs, a mountain of fairy cakes with candles and sparklers and a chocolate fountain. along with ballons, streamers, party poppers, a game of twister and 2 differant pass the parcels - one for grown-ups, one for kids we had a good time. dd pronounced it a good party and it cost me about £100 with booze
