Today I took my Dd13 into our local village tea room. She's often popped in without me before . When we got there dd was greeted by the owner and was asked is this mum you've brought in today? I said yes I'm mum. Owner then said what an absolute pleasure it is to see Dd in there as she always smiles when she goes in and has impeccable manners , pleases and thank yous and is a real credit to me .🥰

My heart melted there and then as no matter what teenage tantrums we've had at home and by God she's been a nightmare at times 🤣 when she's out and about she's made me proud to call her my daughter and I can't ask for anything more than that .🥰

How lovely.

You brag away. It is always nice to hear something like that about your dc, however old they are Smile

That’s lovely, it’s always nice to hear what they are like when you’re not around.

It will be a lovely warm feeling to keep you going when it all gets messy.

My DDs form teacher once sent a report that was so wonderful, when she was 15/16 years, that I treasure those words still.

Aw lovely! ‘They’re a credit to you’ is one of the best and most memorable to receive. They’re nice because of how YOU raised them and your hard work is paying off. Brag away!
